Choosing the right route

Condition-driven works (roof, boiler, windows, compartmentation) go to CIF for academies / VA / sixth-form colleges, or to School Condition Allocations for LA-maintained schools[CIF]. Whole rebuilds where condition is critical go to SRP[SRP]. New places for population growth go to basic-need[basic-need] or Free Schools[Free Schools].

Programmes that stack

DFC, CIF and SCA can stack on the same site for different work packages; Spec21 applies across DfE-procured schemes; BNG applies as a planning condition independent of funding route. See each programme page for detail.
